Abstract :
A comparative study of four output-feedback controllers that suppress chaos in a class of chaotic systems is presented. In this study an adaptive observer for a class of state affine systems is designed in order to estimate the unmeasurable state and to identify the unknown parameter in the system. Moreover, using the sliding-mode method, back-stepping and feedback linearization techniques, three control laws are designed, which use the proposed adaptive observer scheme, in order to suppress the chaos. On the other hand, an other adaptive observed-based feedback control with low-order parametrization is considered. Simulations results are given in order to illustrate the performance of each scheme
