Abstract
The shared-TDD scheme has been proposed for accommodation of asymmetric communications between uplinks and downlinks. The application of the shared-TDD scheme to cellular systems causes inter-link interference. This paper proposes uplink transmission control in order to relieve the effect of inter-link interference in CDMA/shared-TDD cellular packet systems. In the proposed scheme, the mobile stations select the slots transmitting uplink packets based on both their location and the status of slot allocation in adjacent cells. Computer simulation shows that the proposed scheme relieves the effect of inter-link interference, and thus improves the downlink transmission efficiency.
