            Abstract : 
The investigation of the importance of optical feedback on the optical properties of vertical-cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) is important because of their potential applications in optical signal processing and light-wave communications. We report on the study of strong feedback effects on the threshold and spectral characteristics of a GaAs-AlGaAs VCSEL. Such studies have not yet been reported for VCSELs
