Abstract :
We study the effect of power control (PC) in cdma2000, an evolution of the TIA/EIA-95 cellular standard. We describe the mechanisms for PC in cdma2000 and develop a simplified analytical model. Analysis of this model shows the regime where PC offers benefits and facilitates an intuitive understanding of reverse link simulations.
