Abstract :
The spectrum of home electronic appliances has dramatically expanded at last years. The rapid expansion of knowledge in consumer electronics challenges university educational programs to provide expertise in all areas. Engineers should be ready to design electronic devices in a shortest time after graduating from universities. Multimedia devices occupy a significant niche in home electronics. A flexible and sustainable networked environment for electronic engineering education and multimedia CE design including real acceptance tests on unified hardware prototyping modular platforms is proposed in the paper. The solution proposed is an example of a collaborative educational service community in a heterogeneous networked environment. The decision used enable co-operation between university and industry in creating and reusing learning material and improving the quality of delivery. Results of implementation and further activities are discussed
