Abstract :
Uplink bandwidth allocation algorithm of EPON contained dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm and static bandwidth allocation algorithm. Dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm dynamically allocated real-time specific time slot for each ONU to send uplink data according to the waiting queue length of ONU cache, as the bandwidth allocation is carried out according to the actual needs of ONU; bandwidth utilization of the entire system can be substantially raised. IPACT is a classic EPON uplink DBA algorithm with the characteristics of intertwined and adaptive polling cycle and higher bandwidth utilization. This paper reflects the strong superiority by the simulation compare with the static algorithm based on the analysis about IPACT algorithm.
