Abstract
A bulk Faraday-effect medium and a Pockles-effect crystal are used to sense current i and voltage u being measured successively. A typical optical method and a specially-designed electronic unit are utilized to separate the i and u from the emerging optical signal. This kind of current/voltage transducer is expected to be practicable and to have excellent performance.
