Abstract :
The traditional philosophy of printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing relies heavily on the board tester to pick up manufacturing problems. More effort is spent on testing and developing test methods than on improving the process and ensuring that each process is capable of providing 100% quality. A strategy is described that shifts the focus from testing to improving the process and the development cycle to guarantee high process yields
