Abstract
Automatic Web service discovery and execution is receiving a lot of attention within the Web applications community. Web services aim to reduce the collaboration costs and increase productivity by automating the enterprise processes. In this paper, we explore and illustrate the potential use of semantic Web in the context of manufacturing services. In particular, we identify benefits of explicitly encoding semantics of the manufacturing Web services.
