Abstract
In wireless sensor networks, one of the main design challenges is to obtain long system lifetime, as well as maintain sufficient sensing coverage and reliability. In this paper, we propose a self-scheduling scheme based on RLVG, which can increase system lifetime under the condition of keeping sensing coverage. Our RLVG decide whether a sensor is a redundant node through dividing the sensing area into fixed virtual square grids. Our self-scheduling consider more about nodes´ residual energy to balance all nodes´ energy consuming, and use ask-answer scheme to synchronize all nodes´ working. Finally, through simulation, we can see our RLVG need fewer nodes to cover the sensing area, and our self-scheduling has longer life time than others.
