Abstract :
Carrier frequency offsets cause performance degradation in asynchronous MC-CDMA systems. In this paper, successive interference cancellation (SIC) is used in enhancing the uplink capacity of this system in a frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel. Bit error rate (BER) of this MC-SIC-CDMA system is analyzed taking into account the effect of carrier frequency offsets. Performance gains achieved by SIC even in considerable frequency offsets are verified by analytical results for both equal-gain combining and maximum ratio combining.
