Abstract :
A method for synthesizing a microwave linear-phase filter is described. By using a new characteristic function of the low-pass filter, a flat group delay in the pass-band is achieved. Dual-mode circular waveguide cavities are used as the filter configuration. The CAD for this type of filter is available. The dual-mode linear-phase filter is constructed and measured
