Abstract :
A practical approximation is proposed to evaluate the BER performance of an adaptive 2DPSK RAKE receiver in frequency selective fading channels for mobile spread spectrum applications. The applied synchronisation algorithm is a combination of selection diversity (SD) and maximal ratio combining (MRC). The analytical results are compared to simulations of the receiver algorithm using measured complex channel impulse responses in the frequency range about 1.8 GHz
