Abstract
The impedance of the T-slot radiating into a half space was analyzed. This includes computation of s-parameters and radiation characteristics. A moment method solution is used with global expansion and weighting functions. It is shown that the T-slot gives good control on the excitation, a property transverse and narrow wall slots to some extent lack. Therefore a possible application of T-slots is as elements in dual polarized array antennas along with longitudinal slots.
