Abstract
A new application of LIRA neural classifier is presented in this article. We adapt this neural classifier to recognize larvae. This problem has not been resolved but it is very important for agriculture. To reduce the pesticides that are used to protect the harvest, it is necessary to localize the larvae distribution. It is possible to do this by monitoring of plants with one robot that contains a vision system. We present the results of larvae recognition with the LIRA neural network that was developed for other recognition tasks.
