Abstract :
Numerical algorithm based on Muller´s boundary integral equations is applied to the accurate analysis of the near fields of 2D models of extended hemielliptic lenses made of rexolite, quartz and silicon. The near field maps are computed for the lenses of 4 wavelengths in width and the incident field taken as a plane wave illuminating the lens in the symmetrical manner. Both E and H-polarized modes are considered. The obtained numerical results highlight the nontrivial behavior of the finite size lenses explained by internal resonances
