Abstract
Dual integral equations are used to solve the problem of diffraction by a cylinder with arbitrary ratio of radius to length. Axial and transverse currents are taken into account. Convergence of slowly convergent Fourier integrals in the matrix elements of obtained SLAE is improved. Efficiency and accuracy of the developed algorithm is confirmed by comparison with the results of theoretical and experimental works of the other authors. The results for the on-axis electric field in the near-field zone are used for the modeling of the direction finding procedure for a circular antenna array
