Abstract
This paper presents a digital control technique for the inverter stage of uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), which is based on digital servo control technique. Its aim is to achieve a deadbeat dynamic response for the controlled variables (output voltage and inverter current). Through the state feedback and pole assignment method having been used, the controller can guarantee the overall system have high-quality steady-state and dynamic performance. The control laws, stability analysis and distinguishing features of this control algorithm are discussed. Simulation and experimental results are presented to demonstrate that this approach is feasible and effective.
