Abstract :
A fixed-tuned 110-170GHz sub-harmonic mixer based on planar low parasitic anti-parallel Schottky barrier diodes (SBD) is presented in this paper. Wideband diplexer and waveguide probe is designed. The diode is matched to optimized embedding impedance. Measured data indicates the mixer has detecting frequency from 110-170GHz, with Local Oscillator (LO) frequency turned from 60-80GHz. The 3dB Inter-frequency (IF) bandwidth is about 17GHz. Single Side Band (SSB) conversion loss is 12-14dB. Estimated Double Side Band (DSB) is about 400K.
