Abstract :
The problem of prediction of the high-frequency field scattered by a convex impedance cylinder is considered. The theory is based on the locality property of the short-wave scattering and takes into account the curvature of the scatterer´s surface. The approach is more accurate than the physical optics (PO) approximation and requires the PO-comparable computational costs
