Abstract :
1/3 Subharmonic resonance of current-carrying conductor subjected to harmonic excitation system is studied. The nonlinear equation of the system is established by means of dynamics theory. According to the method of multiple scales for nonlinear vibrations the approximation solution of 1/3 Subharmonic resonance of the system is obtained. Numerical analysis results show that the amplitude changed with the system parameters. Amplitude of excitation and tension have upper and lower boundary values when system took place 1/3 subharmonic resonance. There exists the max critical damping value to 1/3 subharmonic resonance, adjusting the damping value can avoid the 1/3 subharmonic resonance. The natural frequency increases with tension while it decreases with length of wire and electricity.
