Abstract :
Using the low-cost mica plate as grid substrate, the focusing electron structure was developed with the simple screen-printing process. The silver slurry was printed on the top surface of grid substrate, which was used as the focusing grid electrodes. The sintered insulation slurry was utilized as the focusing grid cover layer. The detailed manufacture process for the whole device was presented. Using carbon nanotube as the field emitter, the field emission display device had been fabricated with the vacuum packaging process. The divergence phenomenon would be avoided for the flying electron beam by the focusing electron structure. The vacuum-sealed flat panel display device possessed high brightness and better field emission characteristics.
