Abstract :
The MCA (Multi-channel Access Dispatch Communication system) of Japan is working on a large zone structure in the 800 MHz band. The PMR (Private Mobile Radio systems) have sizable market potential too. The main concept of the MCA system is to limit talk-time to 60 seconds per call by forcing a call to terminate in progress. This method improves the frequency usage efficiency. This paper shows the traffic analysis of the proposed MCA-system and reports aa 20% improvement of the permissible maximum number of subscriber stations to be accommodated compared with the mode of unlimited talk time conditions
