Abstract :
A compact dual circularly polarized microstrip transceiver antenna fed by an orthogonal 3dB directional coupler is proposed in this paper. The slots on the patch contribute to the miniaturization and the back to back geometry further reduces the overall size. The configuration can achieve transceiver function by only using a single antenna, which greatly simplifies the system and cuts the cost. Meanwhile, the antenna has an improved input isolation and higher gain as well as Front-to-Back Ratio, thus having a significant and practical worth in the design of blood velocimeter based on microwave/RF Doppler effect. Moreover, RIS structure can enhance impedance bandwidth, directivity, efficiency and FBR and realize antenna miniaturization.
