Abstract :
A new, disposable, gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) collecting device used for collecting and analysis of GCF was invented. A method utilizing testing tape was applied to the analysis of glucose levels. The GCF-type noninvasive blood glucose monitor can be built with a coefficient of variation of 2.8%. It was found that the measurement characteristics were very good within an acceptable range to monitor the GCF levels.
