Abstract
Transition radiation of nonharmonic nonstationary pulses by an electron bunch that crosses a two-dimensional electron gas at the interface of two plasma media has been investigated. The Poynting vector of the lowest nonstationary harmonic is calculated. It has been shown that the information about properties of a two-dimensional electron gas can be obtained by the analysis of the leading front of the resulting signal
