Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present two different laser diode emitters, already used in laser rangefinder applications. The conception of the circuits, and mainly their bandwidth, depends on the application. Some arguments concerning the choice of the laser diode and the associated detector are provided and the emitters are presented, both of them using output power control that is essential. The first design is very compact but presents narrow-band behaviour. The second one is more wide-band but its size is more important
