            Abstract : 
Pulp consistency directly influences paper base weight, while in the pulp consistency control loop, pulp consistency easily deviates from set-point and fluctuates with great magnitude because of the influences of uncertain coupling disturbances such as pulp pump frequency, valve opening and sensor faults. Combined with typical PID algorithm, a novel pulp consistency control concept or control algorithm - expert control, is proposed here to solve the coupling disturbances of the pulp consistency control loop so as to optimize the system performance index.
