Abstract :
With the great success of the Formosat-2 remote sensing satellite program, the National Space Organization, NSPO, of Taiwan started another new Remote Sensing Satellite Program named FORMOSAT #5 (FS5) mission. NSPO´s space program has 19 years of producing eight reliable spaceflight systems. The FS5 project is the first to use the ideology and methodology of the integration quality control system for small satellites developed by NSPO. This paper presents the ideology and methodology of the I.Q.C. (Integration Quality Control) by NSPO. As a result of rapid quality evolution, the traditional of QC is no more adequate to meet the space industries´ needs. The life cycle approach QC deals with the phase of conceptual formation, design, standards and specification, incoming materials, processing, manufacturing, assembly and testing, shipping, launch site operation, launching, orbit transfer, satellite operation, mission operation, and other associated activities. Some of the applications are also discussed to confirm IQC implementation.
