Abstract
We report a novel polarization beam splitter (PBS) utilizing the anomalous reflection and transmission of an anisotropic metamaterial slab. By properly design of the constitutive tensors, PBS is achieved with little dependence on the incident angle and slab thickness, and realized in the optical range by layered metal-dielectric nano-structured system.
