Abstract

T-DMB (terrestrial-digital multimedia broadcasting) system is one of the mobile broadcasting systems. The established T-DMB system satisfies the conventional specifications. But the needs for upgrading system arise from many aspects in these days. Thus it is necessary to upgrade T-DMB system to allow higher throughput and guarantee more reliable reception. Therefore a hierarchical modulation scheme is applied to the conventional T-DMB system in this paper. And the error performance of the enhanced T-DMB system with hierarchical modulation is analyzed according to the various error correcting schemes.
