Abstract :
The growing diversity of clients and their network connections as well as varying user requirements pose a new challenge in accessing multimedia content over heterogeneous network environments. In such heterogeneous network environments, efficient multimedia content repurposing approach is required to tackle the challenge. In this paper, a proxy-based multimedia content repurposing prototype is described which repurpose multimedia content based on client characteristics, network characteristics and user preferences. The experimental results show that our approach is efficient means for repurposing multimedia content from one form to another
