Abstract :
The rapid growing number of active Internet users in Russia mainly belonging to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and research groups at Universities doing advanced communications and information society technologies requires more and more Internet information resources. The paper discusses the SMARTS project which aimed to provide the Russian research community with descriptions of ongoing projects, results and solutions. The WWW was selected as the most relevant solution for information presentation.
