  • Abstract
    Utility of a photon-counting OTDR for evaluating waveguide parameters along a sequentially-spliced single-mode fiber is confirmed quantitatively. Mode-field diameter and relative-index difference evaluated by the OTDR at 835 nm are in good agreement with those obtained by the reference test methods.
