Abstract :
In this work, simplified modeling of a rectifier-coupled BLDC generators is presented. A synoptic diagram that accommodates the system´s dynamic behavior and break-down of power losses is developed. Also, experimental results and simulation based observations are included. The formulations outlined here may reduce the complexity in modeling BLDC generators typically used in wind/hydro turbines.
