Abstract :
The main thrust of fourth generation (4G) research worldwide is dedicated towards spectrally efficient systems. This paper addresses a novel modulation technique and multiple access schemes named dynamic band selection multi-carrier code division multiple accesses (DBS/MC-CDMA) and compared with BER performances with conventional multi-carrier code division multiple accesses (MC-CDMA) in multi-path Rayleigh fading channels. The DBS/MC-CDMA technique, applied to mobile communication systems, offers enhanced BER performances and flexibility relative to MC-CDMA. Specifically, proposed system minimizes the multiple access interference and achieves the dynamic band selection capability among the users in a cell. Simulation results show the better BER performance than MC-CDMA for the same channel conditions and the same number of users in a cell.
