Abstract :
Compensation for near-far effects is critical for error performance of a direct sequence code-division multiple-access system. In this paper, we intend to explore the potential of power control to overcome fading and near-far effect in a cooperative wideband time-division duplex CDMA (TDD-CDMA) network. An effective power control scheme of multiple-access relay channel is presented to provide all two source users´ Quality of Service while one distant source user is far to both a fixed relay user and a destination user than the other. Numerical results show that with the proposed scheme derived from the amplify-and-forward strategy, a significant bit error rate performance improvement for the distant source user can be achieved over the direct transmission where the power control of the stronger source user is performed.
