Abstract :
This paper reports the simulated and measured delay spread in a building. The simulation is made by using a ray tracing approach, while the measurements are made with help of a sliding correlation spread spectrum method. By comparison of the simulated results with the measured ones, it is found that ray tracing is a promising prediction tool for characterizing indoor propagation, however, the delay spread in the NLOS cases with large path loss may be under-predicted by ray tracing simulation
