Abstract
Automated software test is often viewed as a cure-all that instantly reduces test cost and effort. However, without up-front planning and infrastructure design, automated tests can quickly become difficult to create and maintain, and automated software test programs nothing than garbage. This paper first discusses the requirements and challenges in developing automated software test system for network load sharing facility (NLSF) compatibility. Then this paper brings forward an adaptive multi-agent-based software test system. The architecture of the system and interaction of the system and NSLF is discussed in details. By the work of the two parts, this paper tries to research how to initiate a successful automation test and how to implement it for a large distributed computing system.
