Abstract :
A wideband circularly polarized high gain microstrip antenna is presented. The radiating patch is fed by two L-shaped probe feeds connected with a feed network of a 90° hybrid coupler. The antenna delivers a measured impedance bandwidth of 54.5% from 2.64 to 4.62 GHz for SWR <; 2, measured 3-dB axial-ratio bandwidth of 36.7% from 3.05 to 4.4 GHz, respectively. The simulated impedance bandwidth is 55.7% from 2.74 to 4.86 GHz for SWR <; 2. The simulated 3-dB axialratio bandwidth is 33.9% from 3.35 to 4.68 GHz and simulated 3-dB gain bandwidth is 28.8% from 3.48 to 4.65 GHz with peak gain of 9.6dBi.
