Abstract :
This paper presented a UWB dual-polarized Vivaldi antenna with compact structure and high gain, which has a symmetrical X-cross structure. The designed antenna is composed of two UWB Vivaldi antennas with corrugated ripples which are orthogonally interested. The Vivaldi unit is fed by microstrip-slot line balun which is a balance feeding structure. The Vivaldi unit impedance bandwidth of VSWR<;2 is 1.4~12GHz, which is octave times frequency. Moreover, eight corrugated ripples are symmetrically laid on the radiation frontier of the Vivaldi antenna in order to improve the gain (above 4.5dB) especially in the low frequency band. After being cross placed, the two antennas can realize dual-polarization with port isolation less than -23dB, and good radiation properties are obtained.
