Abstract
A new delay-dependent criterion is derived for delayed systems in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Different from previous ones, the criterion involves no slack variables. It is established theoretically that some existing criteria, which have introduced many slack variables, are equivalent to each other, and can be simplified to this one. Finally it is extended to time-varying delay type and robust stability condition is given for delayed systems with norm-bounded uncertainties.
