Abstract :
Traditional high-pressure water jet cutting adopts duplex reciprocating intensifier to generate high-pressure water. In order to solve the problems of water pressure fluctuation generated, the abrasive water-jet cutting machine based on phased intensifier is designed, and the structure of cutting machine as well as the hardware structure and working principle of phased intensifier are introduced, the open water jet cutting system based on PMAC motion controller and industrial computer has also been designed. The phased intensifier employs a constant pressure variable capacity pump to provide power, adopts the compressed air to push piston back, The working sequence control of two pistons is finished by a PLC. Thus the structure of mechanism and control system is simplified. Aiming at sheet metals, the auto height adjustment system based on waterproof, non-contact eddy current sensor is designed, and the determination method of water jet cutting speed is researched. It is practically proved that this system can work stably, and the output high pressure water fluctuation is smaller than 2.0%.
