Abstract
Telemedicine introduces new challenges in adapting health care supply to face the demographic trends and sustain the introduction of advanced technologies in home care medicine. This implies harmonisation and standardisation frameworks. A group of French experts have anticipated the need, creating a think tank to promote projects on medical device communication in the home and involve in standardisation bodies.
