Abstract
The method of insulin injection is studied by many researchers. The optimal injection method can make the blood glucose concentration of diabetic patient steadily and reduce the various complications. In this paper, we propose a classical PED control method for the insulin injection. The computer simulations are done using a mathematical model of the dynamics of blood glucose- insulin regulation in the blood system developed by Hovorka et al. Simulation results show the regulation of glucose concentration under the carbohydrate ingestion. The simulation is performed to manifest the theoretical analysis. The development reported in this paper is expected to simplify the insulin delivery, thereby enhancing the quality of life of the patient.
