Abstract :
Inspired by gene technology, a paradigm for user authentication, referred to as GTAP, is proposed. According to the architecture of opening network services, the real network is regarded as a network family, and the network entities are considered to be family members. Then, through gene assignment and gene signature, each network family member is assigned a gene certificate. Finally, network users are authenticated through analyzing their gene codes. Simulation results show that the proposed method has a better safety and efficiency than traditional authentication techniques. Thus, it provides a new solution to network security.
