Abstract
The results of experimental investigations of planar dielectric disk antennas with different substrates and radiating elements are presented. Geometric and electromagnetic parameters of antenna prototypes are selected in accordance with theoretical calculations. The use of substrates with different dielectric permittivity is determined to give rise to the change in the radiation pattern shape. The possibility is shown to increase radiation power in the free space and to broaden antenna bandwidth in comparison with similar metal disk antennas.
