  • Abstract
    In order to better develop students´ bilingual conversation abilities during bilingual instruction, an bilingual conversation ability training system based-on campus network was designed and implemented by the use of LAN real-time speech communication technology, so that the students could develop and improve their bilingual conversation abilities in cooperative learning manners. The practical application results showed that the system can effectively arouse the students´ communication desire and the students´ bilingual listening and speaking ability, expression skills, thinking ability and the fluency of bilingual conversation will all be developed and improved better by the use of the system. The design of the system architecture and training modes were introduced in this paper. On this basis, the processes of establishing learning partners as well as the implementation of real-time speech communication were described in detail.
