Abstract
This paper presents development of a gas detecting system based on an array of aligned multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) ionization gas sensors at room temperature and normal pressure. Here we proposed a four-sensor array, which was composed of four MWNTs sensors with different gap and polarity. Experiments were conducted to acquire the experimental data, including discharge voltages and currents, by measuring the sensor array response to different gases through peripheral circuit. The results show that the detecting system is able to identify target gases well.
