            Abstract :
In this paper, the design methodology for constructing novel dual-band hybrid couplers with arbitrary power division ratios is presented. The improved simplified composite right-/left-handed (ISCRLH) transmission line (TL) stub is adopted to imitate the conventional 90° section at the two specified frequencies with different characteristic impedances. An ISCRLH TL stub comprises two ISCRLH TL unit cells with input and output uniform TL sections at the two-port terminals, which possesses a degree of freedom in design parameters to assure the size miniaturization and the element realizability. Hybrid couplers operative at 2.45/5.2 GHz with various power division ratios are designed, verifying the proposed design methodology.
